We did it -- today our Kickstarter completed and was funded!

Thank you all for the support and allowing us to make this next step with you.

We'll be sending out surveys soon for you to select the pieces you'd like.

We did it
about 8 years ago – Fri, Apr 15, 2016 at 02:32:46 PM

The last few months have been a blur of long days and hard work. In addition to our day-to-day - designing, manufacturing, stocking, shipping - Andrew, Brian, and I wrote, recorded, and shot the Kickstarter campaign and got it teed up to launch. When we released it to the world, we knew that we had put everything we could into it…

but we also knew it was far from a typical Kickstarter. Our dream of building a factory, bringing opportunities and livelihoods to Los Angeles, and developing new sustainable technical fabrics were all so different from anything we’d seen before that we had no idea what people would think. To say that we were nervous was an understatement.

From the minute we launched the campaign though, we were overwhelmed by the flood of support. We can’t thank you enough.. when you’re gearing up to embark on a long, challenging adventure, to know that you’ll be sharing it with so many friends, old and new, is perhaps one of the best reassurances one can experience.

It’s hard to believe that it was four years, almost to the day, that I packed up everything I owned and drove across the country to start Pistol Lake. I couldn’t have predicted how challenging the times would be or in how many ways building this company would force me to grow, but I can say without reservation that I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

Thank you, each and every one of you, who has been so generous in your support of our dreams. It is not lost on me that it takes an incredible amount of faith in someone and something to take out your wallet and back a project where the preference for the finished product is so personal and subjective. We have a long road ahead of us, but I’ve never been more thankful for the opportunity to wake up every day to build something that has so much meaning, and that could have such a material impact not on just the people that we’ll be blessed to work with, but also those we’re able to share our journey along the way with. So thank you for making this dream a reality, and for being there to share the journey with us.

Over the next week or so, as we close in on the end this campaign, I’ll be reaching out to ask for help in spreading the word. While we’ve exceeded our initial goal, so too have grown our ambitions. The more successful we are with this campaign, the more resources we’ll have to outfit the factory, hire more people, and design new gear. So, if you have just a moment, it’d mean the world to us if you’d be willing to help us spread the word to your friends.
